M/F Unscrew the mounting screws from the point cover and pull the cover and gasket free from the motor.
M/F Remove the retaining screw that secures the first point to the point plate.
M/F Loosen the nut from the terminal bolt at the base of the point and pull the condenser leads off of the terminal. Discard the point.
M/F Connect the condenser lead to the new point's terminal bolt, slotting the lead between the flat washer and the insulator on the terminal bolt. Tighten the terminal nut.
M/F Place the new point onto the point plate and loosely tighten the retaining bolt.
M/F Adjust the point gap and tighten the retaining bolt. Refer to your owner's manual or service manual for specific gap adjustment details.
M/F Replace the point cover and gasket, tightening the mounting bolts to secure the cover in place.
